What MetBrokers Is
MetBrokers is a collection of 4,444 broker NFTs on Solana, paired with the $MetBroker token on Meteora. Every time $MetBroker is traded, part of the trading fee is collected into a vault and streamed, in MET, to the brokers who are on the clock.
Holding a broker does nothing by itself. A broker earns only while it is clocked in, and it earns by the second, in proportion to its weight.
Brokers And Tiers
Every broker has a rank from 1 to 4,444. The rank decides its tier, and the tier decides its weight: how big a slice of the stream it takes while clocked in.
| Tier | Brokers | Weight |
|---|---|---|
| Partner | 89 | 60× |
| VP | 267 | 20× |
| Associate | 444 | 8× |
| Analyst | 889 | 3× |
| Intern | 2,755 | 1× |
Ranks come from a seeded shuffle of all 4,444 brokers. Every broker gets exactly one rank, so the tier counts above are exact. The artwork of each broker is drawn from its rank by an open generator: anyone can rebuild every image and its traits. Browse them in the collection.
Minting
Every broker costs the same fixed SOL price: —. The price never changes with demand or timing, so being early buys no discount.
Brokers are minted in order, and every broker starts sealed: its tier is unknown to everyone, the team included, until the reveal. That makes it impossible to wait for a rare index and mint only that one.
The mint SOL goes to the project treasury.
Reveal
Before the first broker was minted, the program stored a commitment: the hash of a secret seed. At reveal the seed is published, and the program only accepts the seed that matches the commitment. Nobody can choose ranks after the fact.
Revealing closes the mint for good. If the seed is not published by the reveal deadline (—), anyone can trigger a fallback reveal, so a lost seed can never lock the collection.
Clocking In
To start earning, the owner clocks the broker in and pays a seat price in SOL:
Rarer tiers pay more in total but less per unit of weight. The seat price is the same for everyone at any time.
All seat SOL goes to the buyback wallet: the keeper uses it to buy $MetBroker on the pool and burn it. Every burn is listed in the ledger on the floor.
While clocked in, the broker is frozen in your wallet. It cannot be sold, listed or moved until you clock out.
The Stream
Fees do not drop on holders in one go. Every MET that reaches the vault joins a stream that releases it gradually over about —. A spike in trading on launch day is spread over the following week, across everyone who clocks in during that time.
What is released is shared by weight, every second:
- A broker earns only from the moment it clocks in. There is no back pay and no snapshot to time.
- If nobody is clocked in, the stream pauses. Nothing is released, and the first broker back does not inherit a backlog.
- New fees keep the stream topped up. With steady trading, the stream releases about as much each day as comes in.
Claiming And Clocking Out
Earnings can be claimed any time, straight to your wallet in MET. There is no lock-up period.
Clocking out pays out whatever is owed, stops the broker earning and unfreezes it, so it can be sold or moved. A new owner has to clock it in again, and pays the seat price again.
How Fees Flow
Every buy and sell of $MetBroker pays a trading fee to the pool. That fee is shared between three parties:
On the bonding curve the shares are set by the Meteora pool configuration. When the curve completes, the pool migrates to Meteora DAMM v2, and its liquidity is locked permanently. From then on, the fees earned by the creator's locked liquidity position go to the vault in the same way.
Two other flows run alongside:
- Seat prices (SOL) → buyback wallet → $MetBroker bought on the pool → burned.
- Mint price (SOL) → project treasury.
The split between the parties is fixed in the pool configuration when the token launches, and cannot be changed afterwards.
The Token
$MetBroker launches on the Meteora Dynamic Bonding Curve, priced in MET. Its mint authority is removed at launch, so the supply can only go down, through buybacks.
The first moments of trading carry a higher, quickly decaying fee to discourage sniper bots. When the curve fills, the pool migrates to DAMM v2 and the liquidity is locked forever.
You do not need $MetBroker or MET to take part: minting and clocking in are paid in SOL, and rewards arrive in MET.
The Keeper
A small service, the keeper, does the routine work. It never decides who gets paid.
- Claims the creator side of the trading fees and moves it into the vault, together with the instruction that adds it to the stream.
- Turns seat SOL into $MetBroker and burns it.
- Never sends MET to a wallet. Brokers pull their own earnings from the vault.
Every vault top-up and every burn is public, and listed in the ledger with its transaction.
Fairness Rules
These are enforced by the program, not by promises:
- Same price for everyone. Mint and seat prices are fixed in SOL, not in tokens bought cheaply early on.
- No snapshots. Earnings accrue per second from your own clock-in.
- Streamed, not dumped. Fees release gradually, so a spike cannot be farmed by a few early holders.
- Sealed tiers. Ranks are committed before the mint and revealed after it closes.
- Frozen while working. A clocked-in broker cannot change hands mid-stream.
- Empty floor pauses. No backlog collects for the first broker back.
- Fixed at launch. Prices, weights and the stream window cannot be changed after the program is set up.
Risks
- Brokers are collectible seats. They are not shares in anything and come with no promise of profit.
- Rewards depend on trading activity. If nobody trades, there is nothing to stream.
- Rewards are paid in MET, whose price moves.
- The contracts are unaudited until an audit is published. Smart contracts can have bugs.
- The program can be upgraded by its upgrade authority until that authority is handed to a multisig or removed.
FAQ
Do I need MET or $MetBroker to join?
No. Minting and clocking in are paid in SOL. Your rewards arrive in MET.
Is there a waiting period before I can claim?
No. Earnings start the second you clock in and can be claimed at any time.
Can I sell a broker while it is clocked in?
No. It is frozen while working. Clock out first; that also pays out what it earned.
Why does a rarer tier earn more?
It carries more weight, and the stream is shared by weight. Its seat price is higher in total but lower per unit of weight.
What happens to my earnings if I clock out?
They are paid to you on clock-out. Nothing is lost.
Where does the artwork come from?
Each broker is drawn from its rank by an open generator. The same rank always produces the same image and traits.
